Lead Data Architect for DW/BI/Data Management/Data Analytics Programs

Principal Functions:
Leads the Data Management / Data Analytics Program
Leads the Data Architecture definition for the enterprise, and becomes the delivery owner, subject matter and technical expert for the data architecture
Documents and describes a data architecture that is consistent with established architectural principles.
Establishes and maintains the domain model, data standards, and data dictionary.
Develops and maintains relational data models for enterprise applications at the conceptual, logical and physical levels
Collaborates with data management, enterprise architects, software architects, IT support, and development teams to:
develop the data architecture strategy
describe requirements and scope
develop data warehouse and business Intelligence strategies
create and sustain data quality initiatives
Contributes to enterprise data governance activities, including policies and procedures
Actively participates in meetings with internal and external customers in order to understand their requirements and the implications for the data architecture, while also being able to succinctly explain data architectural issues in business terms
Puts architectural blueprint and guidelines into practice.
Develops plans to migrate from the current architecture to next generation architecture.
Engages In design reviews as needed for architectural alignment

Required Skills and Experience:
Development Technologies: Model driven design, using E/R modeling tools like ERwin or E/R
Studio; familiarity with best practices for data modeling
Database Systems: Oracle, DB2, MS SQL server
Database Technology: thorough understanding of relational data modeling for OLTP, OLAP
Database Performance: thorough understanding of transaction volume, scalability, response time
Data Management: Master data management, data cleansing, data replication, archive and restore
Formal Languages: SQL, PL/SQL, Java
Operating Systems: AIX, Unix, Windows XP, Linux
Application Development: Design and development of distributed, enterprise wide applications.
Time Management: Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously, ability to set priorities and focus
Communication: fluent in English, spoken and written; clear communicator at various levels of abstraction.
Leadership: Proven ability to drive architecture solutions in a lead role for large, highly visible data analytics / data management programs
Education: MS CS or equivalent with seven (7) plus years experience of data architecture experience within large organizations and proven ability to lead an enterprise-wide
Travel: Willing to travel 20% of the time

Data Warehousing: multi-dimensional databases, ETL, and business intelligence solutions
Domain experience: healthcare
Large scale computing: thousands of concurrent users, more than 100k transactions per day, data volumes in the terabytes

QA Tester

Project consists of System testing (mostly manual)test cases and test scripts and some Automation Regression testing. Must also have experience with Quality Center and QTP (Quick Test Professional).

Loan IQ Support

COMSYS is seeking a candidate with the following skill:

LOAN IQ support candidate, Past experience at Deutsche, CIT, Misys, Lehman, JPMC, Morgan Stanley ect.
Prior investment banking is a nice to have. LOAN IQ IS A MUST!!!!

He or She would need to be focused on the systems side and infrastructure NOT development. It is mostly server support, some development but no hard coding involved. Must have experience dealing with BA/ QA/ Dev teams/ Sr. Staff and if they came from investment banking they will understand the high demands of the role.

Overall Responsibilities:
Manage day to day production support activities for technical application support team, including shift rota, on-call schedule, metrics reporting, incident management, service management, etc
Problem troubleshooting, root cause analysis and driving both short and long-term solutions
Support issue prioritization and escalation
Planning, coordination and execution of production deployment of system upgrades and emergency bug fixes
Functional testing of the system upgrades, as well as disaster recovery tests
Liaison between the Global Loans team and several TIS groups including Networks, Servers & Storage, Database Administration, Global Engineering and the Global Data Center

Functional Responsibilities:
Responsible for support of production and non production Loan IQ environments
Coordination of Loan IQ test environment for Project related test cycles. Includes batch scheduling and execution, environment configuration, and batch issue troubleshooting.
Work with BAs to troubleshoot technical issues with vendor and bring to resolution
Provide overnight on-call support on a rotating basis
Manage production issues and escalate to management accordingly
Work with other team members in the BA, development, QA and testing teams to deliver projects to the business
Prepare and execute monthly production Loan IQ software releases
Maintain and modify documentation for overall Global Loans Infrastructure, Escalation Procedures and SLAs
Ensure hardware installations and upgrades for Unix and Windows 2003 platform are preformed according to plan
Coordination Capacity Planning initiatives with the DBA and storage teams

SKILLS:
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of Windows 2003 and UNIX/Solaris Operating systems
Experience with multi-tiered applications.
Working knowledge of database tools such as DBartisan or Rapid SQL
Experience with RDBMS is a must

Firewalls and Network Access Controls 

The Client is seeking a contractor for work with firewalls and network access controls. The contractor will assist the Network Security Specialist in reviewing and updating firewall rule sets for our 550 networked sites and 200 applications and specifically addressing the requirements of 45 projects currently in process. Our network security approach is a least privileges approach, with a default deny relaxed to meet network connectivity needs of business applications. The contractor will interview project/application teams to determine access needs, analyze current network traffic, standardize and streamline existing firewall configurations, and implement appropriate access lists to facilitate appropriate network connectivity. Client is also planning on implementation of a network access control solution and is looking for a contractor conversant with the function design and technology of such a solution to assist us in developing & defining the project scope. Client has a change/release management process that requires change board review of almost all firewall changes; so, outstanding documentation skills are a must.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

Required:
Expertise in configuring & managing current versions of Cisco PIX & ASA firewalls & in detailed network traffic analysis.
Strong project management experience
Strong background in analyzing network needs based on business requirements & implementing appropriate network security.
Minimum five (5) years professional experience in information security, specifically related to network security management
Minimum three (3) years professional experience managing current versions of Cisco PIX and ASA firewalls.
Demonstrated ability to manage time & milestones
Demonstrated understanding of project management, with experience in managing challenging deadlines in a disciplined & organized fashion while maintaining attention to detail

Junior IT Analyst – This will be a contract position through December 2009.

Primary Responsibility: 

Provide application support and administration for the following internal applications: HEAT replacement, Oracle Financials administration and report writing, Oracle Time and Labor administration, Discoverer report creation, Business Objects report creation, Billing Enhancements product administration, REM maintenance, SharePoint site setup and web part development, Prophix administration, Goldmine administration, Upside Contract administration, BCMS/Taske/CCE administration, FMS Capital Budgeting administration, Oracle ADI administration, ClearCase administration and Confluence Wiki administration.  It is not expected that any individual will possess knowledge of all these applications and technologies prior to joining the company.

Responsibilities: 

·         Provide day-to-day administration of multiple internal applications.

·         Provide support services to both internal and external customers.

·         Interface with outside vendors for the support and maintenance of standards, resolution of problems, and other operational issues.

·         Ensure user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution services.

·         Manage and coordinate resolution of issues through to completion.

·         Review moderately complex problem situations and identify areas of opportunities for improvement to processes, procedures or tools.

·         Create and maintain application documentation and documentation for duties.

·         Be available for non-business hours support and work when necessary.

·         Provide technical leadership and cross-training to users in areas of expertise.
